Three Sundown Caffeine songs made it to the Effigy Awards Finals of 2008
New York City, New York - The results of the Fame Game Effigy Awards of 2008 are out and Philippine music was well represented by the Cebu-born rock band Sundown Caffeine, landing three songs on the Finals: Nine Rivers, Sunflowers and Dust & Halo Effect. Among thousands of songs considered by the panel of judges, Sundown Caffeine's music miraculously made the top 100 cut.
"Although we didn't make it to the very top of the heap, it was an honor to have been considered at all in this world-class competition. We hope to continue to make good music and try our luck again this year, with the full support of our friends", explained band vocalist MRD.
"It has been a good ride so far, but we're not slowing down. We're ready for so much more", remarked drummer Yanix.
