Solidarity with The Eraserheads

What would have been their finest hour turned into an unfortunate painful moment in the story of Philippine Rock and Roll. Though it pained us to see the greatest band ever assembled in the islands fall into misfortune, we are grateful to the band for granting us entry into their hallowed VIP list and a chance to be part of history. It was unforgettable as it was. It could have been legendary... but this was not to be.

All the best to these four paragons of Filipino music. You have left us with many wonderful moments and tunes during our youth and you will always be remembered as heroes in our book. You have given much to the people for many, many years, and we think it's time we stopped asking for more. 

Godspeed to The Eraserheads. We join everyone in praying for Ely's speedy recovery and we extend our deepest condolences for the loss in his family. It couldn't have been easy. So, we wish you only the very best.

Tara Bosch-Santelices is the guitarist for bands Saffron Speedway and Stormy.

Tara was shot in the head during a violent hold-up incident on the morning of her 23rd birthday last Wednesday, August 6. She still lies in a coma at the ICU of Medical City (along Meralco Avenue, Ortigas), while the culprit still runs free. Tara's friends and family are trying to raise funds for Tara's medical bills. It is also to uplift the morale of Tara and her Family. Please support this endeavor by attending any of the following gigs and spreading the word.

Blood Drive for Francis Magalona

A BLOOD DRIVE for FRANCIS M is currently ongoing at the Lower Ground Floor of Medical City Hospital in Pasig City.

Filipino Rap Artist, Francis Magalona, has been diagnosed with leukemia (cancer of the bone marrow and blood), and is in need of blood platelets and whole blood donations (of any blood type).

Donors may go to the Medical City (lower ground floor). Pls. inform the staff at the blood bank that you are volunteering to donate whole blood/blood platelets for FRANCIS MAGALONA.

One of the hardest things in life is to face it having few role models, or worse, none, who can light the way for you and make it feel safe to distance yourself from familiar harbours. For the longest time, this was how I felt, personally. But here comes Arnel Pineda who jumps out of the classic rockstar fairytale and joins the band Journey, allowing it to rise from the ashes and breathe new life. 

For most of us, we get only one shot. Arnel took that shot and he did not disappoint. The new face of Journey is here, and he's taking it even further.
